Emma Etemadi, DDS

I have never taken for granted the significance of what my work means for my patients, and each day I am thankful for the opportunity to improve the lives of the people I meet. It is gratifying to relieve someone’s pain, improve their self-esteem, and restore their ability to eat properly and enjoy the foods they love.

My approach to dentistry is to treat each patient as if they were a member of my family, with the greatest respect and compassion for their unique situation. My treatment recommendations are always based on what is best for the person’s clinical and personal needs, and are delivered with care to the best of my abilities.

I love the community we serve: The people are caring, generous, friendly, and really look out for each other. We have many great families in our practice. I love chatting with parents about what’s new with them and their lives, and I love watching the kids grow up and hearing about their activities and interests. We have great moments here, with lots of laughter. I consider many of my patients to be an extension of my family and as friends.

The Duvall Family Dental Team

Our team members are highly skilled, friendly, compassionate, and caring. They are local residents and enjoy serving friends and neighbors, to provide high-quality care and maintain a welcoming, supportive environment. The team is particularly skilled at creating a comfortable new patient experience, and earning the trust of even the most fearful patient.

Our team members are good friends with each other, which creates a wonderfully positive atmosphere. They love to laugh and enjoy their work.

Education and Professional Activities

Dentistry is constantly changing. It is my responsibility to keep current on new options and advanced techniques in order to deliver the best care to my patients. Through continuing education, I am exposed to new materials and new technologies that I carefully evaluate and then bring to patient care. Continuing education also allows me to collaborate with specialists and peers to generate the best possible treatment options and outcomes for patients.

I am currently participating in the Spear Education learning continuum, to study treatment planning, occlusion, and restorative design. I am also on the fellowship track in the Academy of General Dentistry, and attend American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry courses for smile design and aesthetic dentistry. In addition, I attend a study club with my peers and board-certified specialists and am certified in Invisalign® and ClearCorrect™ clear aligners, as well as sedation dentistry.

Beyond the Practice

I grew up in the San Fernando Valley, near Los Angeles. Now I live in Woodinville with my husband Shahin and our family. We have two sons in middle school, as well as a dog, a cat, five chickens, and a fish. As you might imagine, we’re always busy with some adventure or another!

When I have free time, I enjoy traveling with my family, hiking the beautiful Cascades, exploring Washington state, and figure skating. At home, I like cooking and baking new recipes.
